The company sells furniture through its webshop and its own Bol.com sales account .
The webshop was started by 3 partners in addition to their regular jobs. Now that the turnover is around €200,000 after three years, it is no longer possible for the founders to combine it with their work. In recent years we have invested a lot in building a beautiful webshop that is doing well in Google and our own sales account on Bol.com.
Given the nature of the furniture business (relatively large, higher order values and low print runs), dropshipping is partly used. Three solid parties have been connected for this purpose, with whom we work together to our complete satisfaction.
At the moment too much money goes into customer service: the current owners have outsourced this and that is an expensive way to handle customer service. A buyer who picks this up himself will immediately make a good profit in the margin.
Part of the range concerns products for which this company is the sole seller. It seems interesting to develop this further.
There are also contacts with new suppliers, for which the product listings have been prepared but which still have to be put live.
Striking: this webshop is for sale for just a little more than the stock value. The asking price therefore includes 7,000 stock.
